Job summary

North American Stamping Group seeks a Weld & Automation Technician for third shift in Portland, TN. The role focuses on robotic welding, resistance welding, and automated assembly equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The technician will troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and automation systems, participate in preventative maintenance, and collaborate with multiple departments to reduce downtime and improve process capability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Experience with robotic welding and automated assembly preferred.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and resistance welding basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for welding equipment and automated processes.
• Maintain equipment in safe, reliable, production-ready condition.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, and robot-related issues.
• Program and troubleshoot robotic weld cells and fixtures.
• Support preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
