Job summary

North American Stamping Group, a leading Tier II automotive supplier, is seeking a Machine Operator to operate robotic welders and related equipment at our Tennessee facility. This role includes setup/changeover of tooling, quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to pass a drug screen, and be willing to work overtime.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

Operate machines such as a robotic welder, assembly station, or other types of equipment.
Set-up and/or change over all tooling.
Conduct break test at designated time intervals, keep log and make adjustments as necessary.
Keep safety curtains/guards in place during operation.
Final visual audit inspection of all parts leaving welder area for quality.
Fill in all reports properly and completely.
Maintain good housekeeping around equipment.
Report all quality, production or safety problems to the production manager.
Maintain all tools in proper places.
Operate for trucks as required.
Suggest methods of improvement, (i.e. Continuous Improvement Plan).
Re-work parts as per instructions.
Preventative maintenance as instructed.
