Job summary

North American Stamping Group in Portland, TN is hiring a Machine Operator to run robotic welders and assembly stations. You will set up tooling, perform break tests, and ensure quality while following safety procedures.

We offer a 3rd shift with a 10% premium and a $750 sign-on bonus after 180 days. A High School Diploma or GED is required; overtime may be necessary to meet production goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate machines such as robotic welder or assembly station.
• Set up and/or change over all tooling.
• Conduct break tests and maintain logs and adjustments.
• Maintain safety curtains/guards during operation.
• Complete visual quality audits on parts leaving the welder area.
• Report quality, production or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Re-work parts as per instructions and perform preventative maintenance.

Sign On Bonus – This position is eligible to receive a $750.00 sign on bonus (paid in 2 installments) after you have worked 180 days.

Personal/Technical Skills:

• Suggest methods of improvement, (i.e. Continuous Improvement Plan)
• Available for training as required
• Will have the ability to work a schedule that allows completion of the job on a daily basis.
• Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow written work instructions
• Available to work overtime as required.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate machines such as a robotic welder, assembly station, or other types of equipment
• Set-up and/or change over alltooling
• Conduct "break test" at designated time intervals, keep log and make adjustments as necessary
• Keep all safety curtains/guards in place during operation
• Final visual audit inspection of all parts leaving welder area for quality
• Fill in all reports properly and completely
• Maintain good housekeeping around equipment.
• Report all quality, production or safety problems to the production manager
• Maintain all tools in proper places
• Operate for trucks as required
• Suggest methods of improvement, (i.e. Continuous Improvement Plan)
• Re-work parts as per instructions
• Preventative maintenance as instructed

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds frequently
• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
