Job summary

O'Neal Steel in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a 3rd shift Loader to join our Ft. Wayne facility. The Loader will load and unload materials using forklifts, cranes, and other handling equipment to move product to and from trucks and staging areas.

Candidates must operate a variety of equipment, read tape measures, and maintain a safe, organized workspace while meeting DOT weight requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment safely.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Strong focus on quality and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material within a warehouse.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, stackers and spotter trucks.
• Verify order accuracy and special instructions for shipments.
• Ensure loads comply with DOT weight regulations.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and drive efficiency.
• Perform loading duties 70% of the time or greater.
