Job summary

Parker Hannifin – Parflex Division is seeking a Supervisor for a 3rd shift to lead a small team of hose production operators. As a salaried supervisor, you will drive Lean initiatives, ensure safety, quality, and daily operational goals in collaboration with the Plant Manager.

You will develop a skilled workforce, optimize processes, and foster a right-first-time culture across value streams while coordinating with supply chain and production control teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• Proven leadership experience managing production teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and employee empowerment by enforcing standardized work, 5S principles, and safety compliance.
• Lead and oversee daily production operations across assigned value streams, coordinating between shifts.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools (PDCA, pull systems, leveling workloads) to reduce costs and lead times.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Team Members and Leads to build a high-performing team.
• Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss challenges and solutions.
• Utilize visual management tools to monitor performance and ensure transparency.
• Support Plant Manager in budget prep and strategic planning for improvements.
• Ensure cross-training of Team Members for operational flexibility.
• Promote a positive work environment emphasizing right-first-time quality.
• Assist with other duties; minimal travel.
