Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group in El Paso, IL is seeking a 3rd Shift Structural Fabricator Teammate to join our team. You will perform fit-up, tacking, welding and follow weld standards on structural assemblies, ensuring quality and safety.

Focus on reading blueprints, tape measurements, and operating overhead cranes. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma, AWS and Canadian welding certifications, and the ability to work night shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass AWS welding and Canadian certification.
• Ability to read tape measure, square, and blueprint readings.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and four days in a row.

Responsibilities

• Perform fit-up, tacking, and welding on various structural assemblies.
• Weld and adhere to all weld standards and procedures.
• Use clamps, jigs, and measurement tools to prevent warping and misalignment.
• Maintain records and documentation; report unsafe conditions.
