Job summary

American Buildings Company - IL, a division of Nucor Buildings Group, is seeking a qualified 3rd Shift Structural Fabricator Teammate in El Paso, IL. Responsibilities include welding, fitting, and assembling structural components per prints on a 12-hour shift (6:00 pm – 6:00 am, 3–4 days/week).

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read tapes/squares/prints, and pass AWS welding requirements. Bonus programs and profit sharing are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read tape measure, square, and blueprint readings.
• Minimum 1 year of fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must pass AWS welding and Canadian certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform welds and fit-up on various structural assemblies following weld standards and procedures.
• Add stiffeners, brackets, face plates per prints prior to finish welding.
• Maintain records and documentation; report improper operation or faulty equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety policies.
