GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE JOB

This position is for a mechanically inclined individual who possesses a positive attitude and desire to continuously improve. This position is responsible for the set up and operation of sorting equipment to ensure parts defects are identified and removed from good product. In addition, this role is responsible for moving packaged goods to the shipping department. THIS IS A 3rd SHIFT POSITION.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up Sorting Machines by entering in specific inspection information from product print into machine.
• Effectively operate, perform complex set ups, and troubleshoot Sorting Machines with little to no supervision.
• Handle and dump parts into machine.
• Keep Sort Machines running at optimal rate by making adjustments and improving performance as needed.
• Weigh, stack, and move full boxes onto pallets.
• Label boxes according to shipping instructions.
• Maintain records, documents and files as required for tracking.
• Move parts by hand truck or forklift if needed.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• HSD/GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, previous machine operation a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer knowledge skills for data entry.
