Job summary

JPS Composite Materials LLC in Anderson, South Carolina is seeking a Slasher Operator to work with the assistant under supervision, performing overall operation of the Slasher and setup tasks to ensure smooth production. You will monitor speed and tension, inspect for breaks or defects, and keep accurate records.

Requirements include the ability to lift moderate to heavy loads, stand and walk for long periods, and work independently within a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Slasher under supervision and with the assistant.
• Perform setup at creel run out, load section and set into creel, maintain speed and tension.
• Observe front of slasher for breaks, lost ends or yard defects; stop machine and repair breaks and glue lost ends.
• Maintain selvages of warp and complete necessary paperwork.
• Maintain general area housekeeping and TPM/cleaning of machines; keep records per ISO AS9100 standards.
