Job summary

JPS Composite Materials is seeking an energetic 3rd Shift Intermediate Machine Operator for the Finishing Range in Anderson, SC. You will set tension, speed and temperature controls, monitor equipment, identify maintenance needs, and ensure accurate production data is recorded for each finishing order.

• Set controls for tension, speed and temperature for production runs on the finishing range.
• Monitor machine operation and detect maintenance issues, taking appropriate action.
• Delegate duties to utilities to maximize product quality and efficiency.
• Record production data for each finishing order as required.

Job Description

The Range Operator will work in full cooperation with all associates and will be responsible for all operations on the Finishing Range. Set control for tension, speed and temperature for production run within the Range Machine, detect maintenance problems and react accordingly, delegate duties to utilities to obtain the best product, quality and efficiency, fill out all required production data for each finishing order.

Must Be Able to Read, Understand, & Follow Written Instructions, must be able to write legibly, basic math, computer skills, calculator skills, good vision, ability to lift moderate to heavy loads, must not be scared of heights, constant walking, perform fabric tests, must pass low lift truck written test and evaluation, serve as an On The Job Instructor, Periodically train others to perform job.
