Job summary

Weidmann Electrical Technology is seeking a 3rd Shift Skilled Manufacturing Operator in Urbana, Ohio. The role supports the 3rd shift with setup, troubleshooting, and teamwork across the facility, with a starting rate of $23.00 per hour.

OT may be required based on machine needs, and cross-training opportunities are available. The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of manufacturing experience, plus the ability to read, compute, and use precision measuring

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, 4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic documents and perform calculations as part of manufacturing tasks.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as ruler, caliper and micrometer.
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work in a non climate-controlled environment.
• Flexibility to cross-train and train others.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and adjust machine controls and components.
• Coordinate with other departments to request raw materials and supplies to minimize downtime.
• Document and explain production data according to procedures.
• Monitor machine operation to detect and correct malfunctions.
• Perform quality inspections.

The role…

You will provide a full range of manufacturing support to 3rd Shift at our Urbana, OH facility. Duties include but are not limited to: General machine set-up and troubleshooting, utilizing safe operating procedures, and collaboration with team members throughout the facility.

Overtime: May be required depending on machine / area, volunteer opportunities, cross training opportunities.

• Troubleshoot and adjust machine controls and components
• Communicate with other departments to request raw materials and supplies to eliminate the need for downtime
• Document and explain all production data according to procedures
• Observe the operation of the machine to detect and correct machine malfunctions
• Perform quality inspections
• Note: Other duties may be required

• Physical requirements – lift and manipulate unwieldy parts weighing between 50 – 100 lbs, depending on the machine and work in a not climate-controlled environment.
