Job summary

RRD is seeking a Sheeter Operator to convert paperboard rolls into precise sheets for packaging production. You will operate high-speed sheeting equipment, monitor quality, and ensure safety and efficiency on a 3rd shift.

Responsibilities include setup, changeover, routine maintenance, material handling with forklifts, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Candidates should have experience with industrial machinery and read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial machinery, preferably sheeters (e.g., Marquip, Goodstrong, Maxson).
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32" and perform basic sheet-count calculations.
• Able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Keen eye for defects that could affect printing or die-cutting stages.
• Familiarity with Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and PPE safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed sheeting equipment to convert rolls into precise sheets.
• Monitor sheet dimensions, squareness, and surface quality to prevent defects.
• Review job tickets and perform efficient make-ready transitions between jobs.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on knives, rollers, and belts.
• Operate forklifts or roll-clamping equipment to load rolls onto unwind stands.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues or jams to minimize downtime.
