Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a 3rd Shift Sanitation/Production Supervisor in Indianola to direct production and sanitation activities on the 3rd shift. You will ensure safety, quality, and timely production while achieving goals and controlling costs in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing budgets, scheduling labor, and maintaining compliance with HACCP, GMP, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years production/group leader experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food-related.
• Working knowledge of sanitation and production processes.
• Experience with HACCP and GMP regulations relevant to food production and sanitation.
• Certifications such as HACCP, SQF Practitioner, or other food safety certifications (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversees production and sanitation activities on the shift, supervising employees to achieve goals safely and cost-effectively.
• Manages budgets specific to the production and sanitation areas.
• Controls labor costs through effective scheduling and utilization.
• Maintains and tracks shift performance against standards.
• Minimizes overtime, downtime, and rework costs.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Enforces quality and food safety programs (HACCP, GMP) to meet standards.
• Completes required production and sanitation reporting on time.
• Trains, directs, and develops employees, fostering growth.
• Maintains positive relationships with employees and stakeholders.
• Coordinates with other managers to streamline processes.
• Upholds standards for cleanliness, productivity, and maintenance.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
