Smalley-Steel-Rin in Lake Zurich, IL seeks a skilled Roll Forming Technician to set up and operate rolling mills with multiple stands. You will collaborate with experienced teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time production.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with rolling mills or metal forming equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot production equipment and identify machine problems.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate rolling mills with three progressive stands.
• Work toward setting up and operating rolling mills with eight progressive stands.
• Assist Rolling Mill Operator 3 to expand Rolling Mill knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and assist with setup of equipment; document processes as required.
• Operate testing equipment (micrometers, hardness testers, etc.).
• Document processes accurately and participate in cross-department work as needed.
