Job summary

Tilcon Connecticut Inc., a CRH company, seeks a 3rd shift utility worker at the North Branford Quarry. You will join a team focused on safety, quality and integrity while supporting maintenance tasks and daily operations.

The role reports to the quarry superintendent and requires adherence to safety policies and efficient performance. The position involves heavy lifting, working at heights, outdoor conditions and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Trade or mechanical education is preferred.
• Maintenance or mechanical experience is preferred.
• Mechanical ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate maintenance equipment safely and report problems to management.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping on quarry equipment.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights.
• Shovel sand, stone and wet materials daily.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA safety procedures and directions from foreperson.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation.
