Sonoco is seeking a Production Worker in Opp, AL to support tube and core production lines on the 3rd shift. The role requires quick, safe execution, strong attendance, and an eye for spotting defects in packaging.

You will join a team that values hands-on work, detailed tasks, and cross-department collaboration. Ideal candidates have forklift certification, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a proven history of working in fast-paced environments with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Reliable, proactive, and quality-focused.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
• Think on your feet and troubleshoot problems.
• Make incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality.
• Learn to set up new jobs, train on other lines and departments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform duties designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Downtime is cleaning and straightening time.
