Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Chesterfield, VA, is hiring a Production Supervisor for 3rd shift. The role leads front-line hourly staff, maintains safety, and ensures production targets and quality standards are met.

The supervisor collaborates with supply chain, quality, and shipping, drives continuous improvement, and supports HR and Safety policies to sustain performance and morale on the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position (team lead, supervisor, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leaders and hourly production staff; ensure safety, set expectations, coach and provide feedback.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive continuous improvement with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule meeting quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain inventory control for raw materials and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure timely responses to operational issues affecting customer expectations.
• Enforce company policies and procedures and support HR and Safety as needed.
• Document skills and create a training needs matrix; manage staffing and interviews.
