Job summary

Employment Solutions of New York, Inc. is partnering with a client to fill a hands-on Production Supervisor (3rd shift) position in a specialty plastics compounding environment. The role leads manufacturing operations, overseeing safety, quality, productivity, and customer service while guiding production staff.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes. 3rd shift is 11 pm to 7:30 am.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic math and algebra skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, train, and direct production employees.
• Ensure safe operation of production equipment and compliance with plant and corporate policies.
• Monitor product quality and adjust process settings to meet customer specifications.
• Operate and troubleshoot extrusion lines and related equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and respond to production issues as needed.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet deadlines and productivity goals.
• Serve as the primary communication link between production operators and plant leadership.
• Maintain a team-oriented work environment while addressing performance and disciplinary issues as needed.
