Job summary

Plastic Executive Recruiters seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily extrusion operations and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This hands-on role manages the production floor across 2nd and night shifts in Buffalo, NY.

You will coach teams, monitor processes, and partner with maintenance/engineering to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Relocation assistance is offered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership ability with a track record of improving team performance and production output.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily extrusion operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
• Lead, coach, and develop production team members across shifts; conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Monitor extrusion processes (profiles, tubing, sheet, film, compounding, or pipe) and troubleshoot issues related to materials, tooling, or equipment.
• Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Implement and support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including waste reduction and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate production reporting, including scrap rates, efficiency metrics, and labor utilization.

We are seeking experienced Production Supervisors with a strong background in manufacturing to lead daily manufacturing operations and drive performance on the production floor. • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Night shift 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily extrusion operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
