Job summary

LyondellBasell in Akron, OH is hiring a Production Operator to monitor and operate plant process equipment, troubleshoot, and ensure safety and quality production on the 3rd shift.

You will follow SOPs and LOTO, perform PMs, lift 55 lbs, and work with SAP. Minimum 6 months experience and a HS diploma required; starting pay $21.40/hour plus $1.25 shift diff, with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret documents, write routine correspondence, and speak English to effectively communicate with supervisors and team members.
• Minimum 6 months of production or manufacturing experience; mechanically inclined preferred.
• Must submit to pre-employment screening including background checks and drug screening.
• Must be able to follow LOTO procedures and safety requirements.
• Basic mathematics and computer skills; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot equipment used during daily manufacturing.
• Perform changeovers and disassemble/assemble/clean machinery.
• Follow daily production run schedules and report issues.
• Stage packaging area and lift up to 55 lbs to load into equipment.
• Operate forklift to move raw materials and finished products.
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure tools and equipment are stored properly.
