Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Akron, OH is seeking a Production Operator for the 3rd shift (midnight - 8 AM) to monitor and operate plant equipment, follow safety procedures, and support daily production.

The role requires basic math, reading and communication in English, SAP familiarity, and willingness to work overtime. You will perform changeovers, operate a forklift, and document production data while ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in production/manufacturing.
• Read and interpret documents, write routine correspondence, and speak English.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Follow safety procedures and LOTO protocols.
• Willing to work overtime or weekends on short notice.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot equipment during daily manufacturing.
• Perform changeovers and disassemble/assemble/clean machinery.
• Follow production run schedules, resolve quality issues, report unresolved problems.
• Stage packaging, load materials, and prepare for shipment.
• Operate forklift to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Record production data and perform QC tests.
• Maintain a clean workplace and follow PPE protocols.
