Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor for 3rd shift to lead a 30–40 person machine shop team, overseeing safety, quality, delivery and cost while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years in manufacturing plus at least 5 years of direct management experience; hands-on leadership is essential to develop workforce and meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; 3–5 years’ manufacturing experience.
• At least 5 years of direct management experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 30-40 employees in a machine shop setting.
• Work with the Manufacturing Manager to develop Value Stream Improvement Plans to achieve high impact results.
• Identify and measure short and long-term team goals aligned with strategic plans.
• Use standard work to assure efficient use of personnel and equipment to meet delivery commitments.
• Hire new employees and evaluate existing personnel for performance and development.
• Address employee relations matters to mitigate challenges timely.
• Manage counseling, discipline and performance feedback.
• Ensure accurate time reporting and fair, consistent personnel relations.
