Job summary

Avient is hiring an entry-level Production Associate in West Chicago, IL. The role focuses on weigh-up or packaging duties in the production department, ensuring quality and meeting customer specifications while supporting overall production efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent training & experience.
• Industrial operations experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide; work with unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Obtains the correct documentation for the batch and ensures ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Sets up and starts weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking controls for safety and procedures.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of issues in a timely manner.
• Safely processes, batches, screens, cuts, packages and/or skids material to correct size/container per customer specs.
• Accurately supplies/assists Production Operators with materials to keep equipment operational.
• Performs all required machine cleaning.
• Completes and maintains required paperwork and documents.
• Follows safety/work rules and maintains housekeeping standards.
