Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a 2nd/3rd shift Press Operator for its Eagan, Minnesota printing plant. You will operate state-of-the-art offset and digital presses, lead a mid-level team, and drive quality and efficiency on each job run.

The role includes a $2,500 sign-on/role bonus after 90 days, with shift differentials of $4.00 for 2nd shift and $5.00 for 3rd shift, and occasional overtime/weekend work. Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Experience leading and training others in an industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical/technical skills with troubleshooting ability.
• Lean concepts and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and production orders.
• Able to lift at least 5 lbs. above shoulder and up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, and kneel.

Responsibilities

• Review job specifications for material and setup requirements.
• Perform or delegate setup tasks.
• Monitor equipment and product to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot product or equipment issues.
• Communicate effectively during shift hand-off.
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Use computer-based workflow applications to manage files (MII, SAP).
• Document activities accurately in Tier Boards and systems.
• Tag loads correctly to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Provide work direction to others in the workstream.
• Participate in safety programs and promote safe culture.
• Assist with training as needed.
• Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards.
