Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or college a plus.
• Minimum one year experience in press operation.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering work instructions.
• Mechanical ability, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to fabricate/repair parts or tools from drawings.
• Practical knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments.
• Strong work ethic with reliability and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent attendance; must be literate in reading and writing English and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate hydraulic and mechanical punch presses to blank, punch and form parts.
• Adjust ram stroke to form materials to correct angles and radii.
• Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates.
• Use gauges and measuring instruments (scales, protractors, fixed angles, radii).
• Sort and package parts per work instructions; verify quantity and quality.
• Move raw material to/from production areas as needed.
• Train less experienced operators in safe setup and operation techniques.
• Organize work efficiently; collaborate with team and provide feedback.
• Make accurate transactions in the computer system.
