Qualified Staffing in Cookeville, TN is seeking a dependable Stamping Press Technician to set up, operate, and maintain precision stamping presses. You will ensure tooling alignment, optimize machine settings, and handle materials carefully to prevent damage.

This role requires strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience in manufacturing or stamping is preferred.
Ability to read measuring devices and interpret technical drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate precision stamping presses.
Prioritize safe work practices while following all company safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements.
Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality standards and tight tolerances.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to inspect finished parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents.
Collect and document quality data throughout production.
Identify quality concerns and make adjustments or notify the appropriate personnel.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on stamping presses and related equipment.
Recognize equipment issues and communicate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
