Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year minimum experience in press operation.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering work instructions.
• Mechanical ability, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to fabricate parts.
• Must be literate in English and do basic arithmetic.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, adjust, and operate hydraulic and mechanical punch press equipment to blank, punch and form parts.
• Adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper angle and radii.
• Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates.
• Use scales, protractors, fixed angles and radii gauges.
• Sort and package parts per work instructions; verify quantity and quality of material.
• Move raw material to and from production areas as necessary.
• Train less experienced press operators in safe and effective setup and operation techniques.
• Organize work efficiently and work as part of a team.
