Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Pine Brook, New Jersey is hiring a Direct Hire Full Time Presort Associate 1 for our Presort Services Facility. The 3rd shift runs Monday-Friday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, with a total pay of $17.25 per hour (base $16.50 + $0.75 shift premium).

You will be trained to review postage and dates, handle barcodes, troubleshoot jams, monitor mail quality, and ensure SLAs are met while following QMS guidelines and safety policies.

• Ability to walk/stand 80% of the time
• Basic English understanding to follow safety instructions
• Willingness to work overtime including weekends/holidays
• Must have current Pitney Bowes experience as a Warehouse Mail Sorter

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing dates, postage, and barcodes.
• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes in mail/packages.
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machines.
• Monitor the quality of mail/packages prior to processing and dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels and matching bin numbers on machines to tray numbers.
• Follow QMS practices to assure quality of output.
• Understand USPS preparation requirements for stacking and sorting mail.
• Ensure sorter equipment and related equipment run properly.
• Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail/packages.
• Be aware of acceptance times and truck departures.
• Ensure mail is prepared to meet SLAs.
• Promote a clean work area to prevent injuries.
• Perform additional duties as required.
