Kennametal Inc. in Orwell, Ohio, is seeking a Manufacturing Production Worker II for the 3rd shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am).

This onsite role offers a $3.00/hr shift premium, with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance starting on day one, plus PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) plan with company match. You will prepare clean, quality product, assemble into sintering heats, follow standard procedures, inspect with a microscope, and ensure accurate production data is scanned into the system and proper

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 year technical degree preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clean, quality product and assemble into proper sintering heats.
• Select the sequence of orders to build heats according to the open furnace schedule.
• Work within standard procedures while following batch requirements.
• Ensure the product is processed according to the proper specifications.
• Verify that the quantity and style of the product are correct.
• Inspect the product under a microscope to determine the necessary steps to remove loose powder and flashing.
• Scan the correct production information into the system.
• Scan into the furnace build once the process is complete.
• Perform press setup and operate the press as needed.
• Meet daily departmental production goals.
• Communicate any safety, quality, or product issues with the supervisor and team.
