Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Production Worker II for the 3rd shift in Orwell, OH. The role is onsite and involves preparing, pressing, and sintering products with attention to process specifications and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• 2 year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clean, quality product and assemble into proper sintering heats.
• Select sequence of orders to build heats according to the open furnace schedule.
• Follow standard procedures while noting unique batch requirements.
• Ensure product is processed according to specifications.
• Verify quantity and style of product is correct.
• Inspect product under a microscope to remove loose powder and flashing.
• Brush and blow off one side, then flip onto foam trays to clean the opposite side.
• Return product to a clean tray and build heats to be sintered.
• Scan production information into the system.
• Scan into furnace build after process completion.
• Perform press setup and operate the press as needed.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and follow procedures.
