Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking a hands-on technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot control systems in our Carol Stream facility. You will work with photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O, and related wiring, handling both hardware and software aspects of automation.
The role requires PLC/servo experience, ladder logic programming, and familiarity with Profibus and industrial Ethernet.
Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs and servo systems.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital controls.
- Familiarity with PLC/HMI programming.
- Knowledge of Profibus and Ethernet protocols.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity/limit switches, PLC I/O modules and control wiring.
- Troubleshoot analog/digital controls for 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives, and soft starts.
- Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces, including ladder logic changes.
- Diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
- Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and production equipment.
