Job summary

KENT Consumer Brands Americas, LLC in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in our food manufacturing facility. The role emphasizes a strong electrical background and PLC experience to keep lines running.

You will work with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and support preventive maintenance programs, while following GMP and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, machining, and fabrication/welding systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform routine installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on production equipment, PLCs, and control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities and support equipment improvement initiatives to extend asset life and enhance performance.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, schedules, and best practices.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to maintenance team members and assist with audits and inspections conducted by external agencies.
