Job summary

New Hanover House is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for the 3rd shift to support residents with daily living activities and promote comfort and independence.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, and engage residents in activities while following safety and infection control protocols. A compassionate, team-oriented caregiver with 1+ year of experience is preferred, with high school diploma or CNA training encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in personal care or healthcare setting.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA/CNA training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor health of residents and report changes to nursing staff; assist with medication reminders.
• Engage residents through companionship and participation in activities and events.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control and safety protocols.
