Job summary

Pee Dee Gardens is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for the 3rd shift to provide direct care and support to residents. You will assist with activities of daily living, ensure a safe and nurturing environment, and collaborate with the nursing team to maintain resident dignity and independence.

The role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning ADL support, health monitoring, resident engagement, and strict safety and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• State-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Basic caregiving knowledge and safety protocols encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support: assist with ADLs, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility.
• Health Monitoring: observe changes, report to nursing team, assist with medication reminders.
• Resident Engagement: foster relationships and encourage participation in activities.
• Safety & Compliance: keep areas clean and safe, follow infection control and safety procedures.
