Job summary

Haworth in Holland, MI is seeking a Machine Operator 2 to join our manufacturing team. You will operate production machinery, set up, adjust, and perform changeovers to meet daily production goals.

This role requires 2 years of manufacturing experience or 1 year with Haworth, or a Certified Machine Operator. Forklift certification and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are expected; occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 years manufacturing experience required or 1 year Haworth manufacturing experience or be a Certified Machine Operator.
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (forklift) certification.
• Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to flex work schedule and overtime may be required including weekends and/or holidays per business demands.

Responsibilities

• Accesses electronic production system to determine daily schedule.
• Verifies parts received against pick tickets for accurate counts, colors, part numbers, and packaging.
• Selects the appropriate machine settings or program according to specifications.
• Sets up and operates machine. Makes minor machine adjustments. May make simple repairs.
• Performs change-overs (adjusts tooling or tolerances, selects programs, etc.).
• Investigates & documents production nonconformance issues.
• May be required to operate a powered industrial truck and/or overhead lift system.
• Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
