Job summary

Pures Food Specialties LLC is seeking a Packaging Operator to operate and monitor packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment. You will set up, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring safe production and adherence to recipes.

You must read recipes, follow FIFO and documentation, and report any safety or quality issues. The role requires standing for long shifts and may involve weekend work.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow Food Safety policies.
• Willing to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read and understand recipes.
• Ability to troubleshoot process issues within the recipe.
• Ability to use digital scales and understand scale functions.
• Ability to mix doughs according to recipe and operate the mixer.
• Follow FIFO (First In First Out), batch numbering and documentation accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Report food safety and quality issues to supervisor immediately.
• Observe plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment to produce goods.
• Set up, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot packaging machinery.
• Follow safety guidelines and food safety policies at all times.
• Read and follow recipes accurately during production.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area throughout shifts.
• Support the shift team as needed and assist other departments.
• Report safety and quality issues promptly to supervisor.
• Adhere to FIFO, lot-number controls and proper documentation.
