Job summary

Currier Plastics is seeking a production shift supervisor to manage assigned shifts and meet objectives. Responsibilities include overseeing molding processes to meet customer demands, communicating daily equipment updates, and guiding corrective actions through problem solving.

The role emphasizes leading continuous improvement, staffing and scheduling, and developing a high-performance workforce with lean, GMP and advanced molding practices.

Qualifications

• Requires Associates degree preferred Management and 3 years experience in manufacturing environment.
• Six years of successful experience in similar positions will be considered.
• Thorough understanding of mold construction, plastics processing, materials, assembly, SPC, and computers is desirable.
• Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.
• Promote the Continuous Improvement Process using lean, GMP and advanced scientific molding technologies

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned shift(s) to meet and exceed objectives.
• Oversee molding processes to verify compliance with customer demands and priorities.
• Communicate daily updates on equipment and production status.
• Advise personnel for correction of manufacturing issues using problem solving.
• Oversee corrective actions related to molding processes from customer complaints.
• Review production standards for shifts and follow leader standard work.
• Implement production scheduling, staffing, and machine maintenance.
• Attend operations leadership meetings and lead shift meetings.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop backups and performance development for direct reports.
• Lead a fully engaged, high-energy workforce and monitor daily/ monthly efficiency and quality reports.
• Provide training in methods and participate in hiring and disciplinary decisions for production staff.
