Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in the field and experience with tool shop machines.
• Analytical problem solver with a mindset of continual improvement.
• Familiar with electrical and hydraulic circuits using diagrams, blueprints, and electrical circuit test meters and methods.
• Willing and able to work 3rd shift, including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clean and Inspect injection molds, tool and die in normal PM process.
• Perform final fitting operations on purchased/repaired components for proper assembly.
• Perform highly critical assembly operations, refitting, reventing or adjusting as necessary for the mold to achieve designed objectives.
• Maintain equipment maintenance and repair history records, details of work performed, parts replaced, and labor hours.
• Install/fabricate replacement components as needed.
• Troubleshoot mold and die issues in the shop and in current production.
• Study specifications and visualize parts to determine materials and machines required.
• Work in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner.
• Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence.
• Set up and operate machine tools (lathes, milling machine, grinder) and verify conformance to specs.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
• Develop specifications for specialty tools and drawings.
