Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Module Facer Operator to support corrugated production. You will train on 1st shift and then perform a 3rd shift role, handling setup, operation, cleanup, and process improvements for the single-facer, with involvement in wet-end and dry-end activities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and preferred experience in corrugated, including 6 months on the dry end and 6 months as a Doublebacker Operator. Safety and quality are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months experience on the dry end of the corrugator is preferred.
• 6 months experience as a Doublebacker Operator is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow factory masters; basic math and measurement tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate the single-facers to produce high production and quality.
• Check wet end line-ups for correct roll stock.
• Load rolls in mill roll stands and make splices and changes as needed.
• Measure and trim paper to correct length for splices and cores.
• Record roll size, grade, diameter and footage; manage core plugs.
• Monitor board quality and adjust as necessary.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Clean work areas and equipment after changes; routine weekly cleanup.
• Assist in wet end training of other personnel.
• Comply with safety and housekeeping policies.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
