Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Milling Operator for the 3rd shift to operate mills and prepare production batches across the Milling plant and related areas.

You will use KD Dyno Mills, ECM Dyno Mills, NetzschTurbo Mills, scales/load cells, mixers, and forklift, following SOPs, monitoring processes, and supporting continuous improvement. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate clearly in oral and written form.
• Able to present information and respond to inquiries or complaints.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs, batch tickets, and process sheets.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment to fill batches or clean mill systems.
• Monitor mills, tanks, and other process parameters.
• Fill finished goods into proper containers and label per IDs.
• Operate forklift to move materials.
• Participate on improvement teams and submit ideas.
• Identify off-quality products and initiate corrective actions.
• Use SAP, Access, and Office to complete milling orders.
• Maintain housekeeping of lab and production areas.
• Maintain testing equipment.
• Perform duties in other Operations areas as required.
• Move waste to 90-day storage area.
• Close and label waste containers per NB Coatings procedures.
