Job summary

The Wenger Group, a Northeast agriculture leader, is seeking a Mill Technician I to join our Pennsylvania production team. You will perform grain testing, manual addition of feed ingredients, and help manage inventory while following safety and quality procedures.

Hours include second and third shifts with differential pay; career growth is supported by robust onboarding. Prior milling experience helps, but potential and teamwork are valued above all.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to understand and follow safety standards (FSMA/SQF).
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Comfort working weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to navigate production software and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Milling operations and grain testing (DON testing; dockage; moisture; bushel weight; foreign material).
• Perform hand-adds: manual addition of feed ingredients and record medication usage.
• Develop basic understanding of animal nutrition and ingredient interactions.
• Maintain mill cleanliness and routine housekeeping.
• Understand general mechanical duties; operate Laserfiche, Wenger System, and WEM as needed.
• Manage ingredient and inventory; keep bag inventories organized.
