Job summary

The Wenger Group is seeking a Mill Technician I to join our grain and feed production team in Pennsylvania. You will perform grain testing, assist with adding feed ingredients, and support inventory and maintenance activities while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have basic math skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently with occasional supervision. Physical effort includes lifting up to 60 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Qualifications

• Experience following Food Safety Standards (FSMA/SQF) and state regulations.
• Ability to work independently with supervision as needed.
• Basic math skills for measurements and dosage recording.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and good teamwork.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling operations and ensure proper grain testing.
• Perform hand-adds by manually adding feed ingredients and recording usage.
• Maintain basic understanding of animal nutrition and milling interactions.
• Clean and perform routine housekeeping of the mill.
• Follow general mechanical duties and safety protocols.
• Use systems like Laserfiche, Wenger System, and WEM for records and inventory.
• Manage ingredient and inventory levels; maintain orderly bags.
• Complete required trainings and support Mill Manager or Supervisor.
