Job summary

The Wenger Group in Pennsylvania seeks a Mill Technician I to join our grain and feed operations. You will assist milling, perform grain testing, and hand-add feed ingredients following procedures while participating in inventory management and routine upkeep of production equipment.

This full-time role requires lifting up to 60–100 lbs, working weekends/overtime as needed, and maintaining safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and under close supervision.
• Understanding of Food Safety Standards – FSMA and SQF and state regulations.
• Basic math skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly and up to 100 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Milling operations.
• Grain tester duties including DON testing, dockage, moisture, bushel weight.
• Hand-adds of feed ingredients and recording usage.
• Understand animal nutrition and milling interactions.
• Clean and maintain mill housekeeping.
• Basic mechanical tasks and equipment understanding.
• Operate Wenger systems and Laserfiche as appropriate.
• Ingredient and inventory management.
• Maintain bag inventories and orderly stacking.
• Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.
