Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a MIG welder/assembly operator in a plant environment. You will set up and operate MIG welding equipment to assemble sheet metal parts to exact tolerances.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, using a tape measure, inspecting parts for defects, and meeting dimensional requirements. Overtime and flexible scheduling may be required; safety PPE must be worn at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules.
• Basic math including fractions and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to weld fabricated sheet metal parts.
• Read drawings/blueprints and use a tape measure to ensure tolerances.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure adherence to dimensions.
• Work overtime as needed and handle shifting schedules.
• Operate in a plant/warehouse environment with proper PPE.
