Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a MIG welder to set up and operate welding equipment to fabricate sheet metal parts into fitted boxes to precise tolerances.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, reading drawings, and performing duties with flexibility, overtime as needed; no supervisory duties. This is a full-time position based in South Carolina, with a plant/warehouse environment and required PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 1-3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in local language, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percentages).

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts for defects from previous operations.
• Read and understand drawings/blueprints; use tape measure correctly.
• Other duties as assigned; overtime may be required.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
