Job summary

Wabash is seeking skilled Welders to join our Indiana manufacturing team. You will weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum per engineering prints, with qualification and in-house Weld School training where needed.

Responsibilities include reading weld symbols, performing PP&E maintenance, and operating MIG/TIG equipment. Candidates must pass safety, tests, and respirator exams; expect a strong safety culture and growth within the site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass Weld Tests associated with product line, prior to welding in production.
• Must pass respirator fit test.
• Basic reading, writing, math & verbal skill.
• Capable of following and understanding engineering prints, specifications & instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own and help improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• MIG and/or TIG weld at a level that meets quality standards.
• Read engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow specifications.
• Basic operator preventative maintenance for welding related equipment.
• Maneuvering in tight and small spaces.
• Work at heights of 15-20 ft.
• Performing additional work assigned by the supervisor or team leader, which may require assisting in different departments.
• Wearing approved PPE and safety gear.
• Completing assigned duties in compliance with safety policies and practices.
