Job summary

Nemak in Augusta, GA seeks a 3rd Shift Supervisor of Melting and Die Casting to lead four 6,100-ton HPDC machines, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets through staffing, pacing and daily execution.

You will supervise melting/holding operations, control alloy/chemistry, verify temperatures, maintain melt logs, enforce standard work, drive uptime with real-time troubleshooting, and coach the team to maintain 5S and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising casting/metal processing.
• Knowledge of alloy chemistry and temperature control.
• Strong safety leadership and 5S discipline.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct melting/holding operations to meet targets.
• Enforce standard work, process windows, and changeovers for casting machines.
• Own shift-level quality with first-off approvals, SPC checks, and rapid containment of defects.
• Drive uptime by leading real-time troubleshooting and coordinating maintenance support.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and pass-down reporting; coach team through huddles.
