Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for full-time 3rd shift in Corbin, KY. The MLT will independently perform testing, validate results, and adhere to procedures and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include specimen processing, reporting results, QC, and collaboration with physicians and lab staff to support patient care and departmental goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Technology or CLS required.
• Certification as MLT/MLS/CLT or equivalent required; must obtain within one year if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing on blood and body fluids.
• Monitors specimen integrity and reporting of results.
• Maintains QC, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Ensures safety, infection control, PPE, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicates test results and critical values to clinicians.
