Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor on 3rd shift to lead a machine shop team of 30-40 machinists. You’ll work with the Manufacturing Manager to drive Value Stream Improvement Plans, improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and ensure staffing and training align with site goals.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in manufacturing plus at least 5 years of direct management experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
At least 5 years of direct management experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of 30-40 employees in a machine shop setting.
Work with the Manufacturing Manager to develop Value Stream Improvement Plans to achieve high impact results.
Identify and measure short and long-term team goals aligned with strategic plans.
Use standard work to assure efficient personnel and equipment utilization and cost control.
Hire and evaluate personnel for performance management and development.
Address employee relations matters promptly to mitigate challenges.
Manage counseling, discipline and performance feedback.
Ensure accurate employee time reporting.
Maintain good organization/employee relations and fair policy application.
