Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead a 30-40 person machine shop team on the 3rd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will partner with the Manufacturing Manager to drive value stream improvements and meet delivery commitments.

You will hire, coach and develop staff, monitor performance, and ensure safe, efficient production while aligning with Moog's site strategy and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 5 years of direct management experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Moog's Military Aircraft Group develops and supports advanced flight control systems, avionics, and mission‑critical technologies for military aircraft around the world. By partnering with leading aerospace and defense organizations, the group helps ensure aircraft performance, reliability, and mission readiness.

As a Performance Leader, you will take daily operational ownership of one or more teams in our Machine Shop. You'll lead a team of 30‑40 machinists while driving performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. This role also plays a critical part in shaping team capability through workforce planning, hiring, training, development, and continuous improvement.

Performance Leaders are essential to the success of our manufacturing operations. You'll ensure our production teams are equipped to meet today's customer commitments and prepared for tomorrow's challenges. You'll work closely with site support functions and the Value Stream organization to keep processes aligned with site strategy and operational objectives.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

• Manage a team of 30-40 employees in a machine shop setting.
• Work with the Manufacturing Manager to develop Value Stream Improvement Plans to achieve high impact results.
• Identify and measure short and long‑term team goals, which comply with the organizational strategic plans.
• Use established standard work documents to assure utilization and efficiency of personnel and equipment to provide optimum flow at the least possible cost to meet delivery commitments.
• Hire new employees, and evaluate existing personnel within the team, for the purposes of performance management and talent growth and development.
• Proactively address and resolve all employee relations matters in a timely manner in order to mitigate potential challenges.
• Manage employee counseling, discipline and performance feedback.
• Ensure accurate employee time reporting. Provide good organization/employee relations within areas by administering all personnel policies fairly and consistently.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$110,000.00 Annually
